The difference between lithium battery charger and power adapter

The difference between lithium battery charger and power adapter is as follows:

The biggest difference between the charger and the adapter is that the charger only charges the battery, and the adapter can not only charge the battery, but also supply power to the host;

② The lithium battery charger includes the function of the power adapter, because it has one more control circuit than the adapter. For example, the mobile phone charger includes three stages of constant current, constant voltage and trickle charging, which is determined by the charger itself. The charging control of the notebook computer is in the computer body, and the adapter only plays a stabilizing role, without the constant current and voltage limiting design of the above charger.

③The lithium battery charger has the current and voltage control function that fits the battery charging, and can float and then close after fully charged.

The adapter usually only provides 5V or so hundreds of mA DC power supply, to cooperate with the charging control circuit (such as mobile phone) to charge enough.
